Keeneland and God’s Pantry are teaming up to raise awareness and fight hunger in the Lexington area on Friday, May 20.
Taste of the Bluegrass will feature 60 food and beverage vendors from around the Lexington area. The list of vendors includes restaurants, caterers, bakeries and beverage purveyors. Guests will have to opportunity to sample foods and beverages from each vendor.
In addition to sampling, guests can enjoy live music and take part in a silent auction, which includes gift certificates from the featured vendors.
The event will be held in the Keene Barn and Entertainment Center at Keeneland Racetrack off US 60. Taste of the Bluegrass will kick-off at 7 p.m. for all guests. Event sponsors can walk through at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for Taste of the Bluegrass can be purchased at any Central Bank location and all Lexington Kroger locations. Guests may also purchase tickets through God’s Pantry’s website. Tickets for the event are $75.
The 2010 Taste of the Bluegrass event attracted more than 1,200 guests.
God’s Pantry host several other events throughout the year. The 2011 calendar of events includes: Golf Fore the Hungry August 28-29, Burgers N’ Bikes September 18, CROP Hunger Walk September 25 and Basket Brigade November 12.
